Scunthorpe Final 25-7-09. Young Ike Parkinson leads the way for the firstever meeting Final at the new Scunthorpe Raceway. Joff Gibson once again made good use of his Yellow Grade start, and soon built up a healthy lead, with Parkinson chasing… Andy Smith was on a mission, and carved his way through the pack, but was still about 1/2 a lap down on runaway leader Gibson. Unfortunately for Gibson, the Yellow flags came out, and this gave Smith his chance… With only 3 cars seperating Smith ……

Coventry 3-10-09 Ht3. Once again, 258 Rob Harrad provides some YouTube footage, spinning out barely completing 1 Lap. One of these days I will catch you doing 2 Laps Rob, LOL. Frankie Wainman Jnr is another one to spin, courtesy of Stuart Smith Jnr’s front bumper, brought on by Paul Harrison tagging Tim Farrell coming into turn3. A coming together between Craig Finnikin and Chris Brocksopp in the latter stages, see’s Brocksopp climb up the side of Finnikin, taking Finnikin out of the race ……

Coventry 2-5-09 Final. Andy Smith takes a second Final win of the season at Coventry. After the race, Smith parked his car across the track, jumped out and saluted, I guess with two fingers, up to Race Control. The incident got a mention over the tannoy LOL. Good on yer Andy ! The race started off looking like it was going to be a battle between Wainman Jnr and Smith Jnr… However, enter John Lund… Lund sticks the boot in on Wainman, who in turns spins a rather unfortunate Smith Jnr. Not ……

Coventry 2-5-09 GN Stu Smith Jnr was on a real charge in this one. Probably showing what he could have done had he not been taken out in the Final. Final winner Andy Smith was a no show. Young Joe Booth, again out of luck, saw his lead disappear when the Yellows were thrown. This bunched up the pack, and made Smith Jnr’s job a little easier. A well fought race and well deserved victory for SSJ….

Skegness 10-5-09. Mixed compilation of highlights from the Heats and UK Open Championship. Young Lee Fairhurst and Frankie Wainman Jnr shared the spoils with 2 wins each, which includes Frankie’s UK Open win. Dean Whitwell broke the 217/515 strangle-hold winning Heat3, and Ivan Pritchard took the Consolation. Wainman, obviously delighted with his UK Open win, plays to the crowd and lights up his tyres after taking the chequered….

Coventry 7-7-01 Final. Probably one of the wettest Coventry meetings i’ve ever been to. Some of the more familiar names had to qualify via the Consolation (to be added soon). Due to the weather conditions, many were finding it hard to negotiate the track, including the likes of Wainman, Smith and Speak. The Grand National was rained off….

Brisca F1 Stock Car British Championship 2009 from Belle Vue Staduim, promoted by Stratrax Racing. After racing in 8 Qualifying Heats, the 28 Car Gird was formed with highest points scorer starting on Pole. After winning 3 Heats, Pole Position was to go to Stuart Smith Jnr, with brother Andrew starting alongside. Frankie Wainman Jnr was on Row2 along with Mark Gilbank. Looking at the grid, the race looked to have it all. Stuart Smith Jnr looked to be quickest around the Belle Vue oval, and ……

Kings Lynn 15-8-09 Consolation. After rolling earlier in the meeting, Les Spencer finds himself in more scrapes in the Consolation event. Birthday Boy Ike Parkinson was unlucky to be on the receiveing end of Joff Gibson’s front bumper. Gibson seems to be getting better with his ex-Ray Witts racer, as the weeks go by, and is now stringing some decent results together. However, it was Young Joe Booth who held it all together, to take the win, and earn his place in the meeting Final. Another ……

Birmingham Semi 22-8-09. The second of this years Semi-Final’s held at Birmingham Wheels. Paul Harrison gets the jump on Frankie Wianman Jnr on the first start, but the race had to be Yellow flagged and re-started owing to Tom Harris’ massive impact with the armaco. Such was the impact, the rear section of the Rollcage was sheared off the main chassis rail, unfortunately ruling Harris out of the re-start, and the rest of the meeting. On the re-start, Harrison was unable to pull the same move ……

Coventry 4-10-09 Golden Helmet. With the Dutch leg held earlier in the year over at Emmen, it was Coventry Stadium’s turn to hold the second leg on home turf. Defending the Golden Helmet trophy, Ron Kroonder had his work cut out, with so many Coventry regulars around him. Wainman Jnr surges into an early lead, with Kroonder being spun out of contention in Turn1 by World Champion Andy Smith. Wainman Jnr was to survive a bout of Yellow Flags, staying ahead of Andy Smith each time, but ……

Birmingham 22-8-09 Brisca F2′s. Stoxnet and Allstox forum member 134 Kyle “Kruiz” Taylor has a bash at racing an F2… Beats the Sim-Stox eh, Kruiz ?…

Coventry 3-10-09 Final. Held on the Sunday due to unforseen issues the night before. With the National Series Shoot-Out contenders starting at the back of the pack, they had it all to do. Lots of bumper-work, and very hard racing, this turned out to be a cracking start to Sunday’s meeting. World Champion Andy Smith, and National Series Champion Frankie Wainman Jnr enjoy a race long battle, with Smith loosing out after a slight coming together with Chris Bonner, handing the lead, and ……

Coventry 3-10-09 GN Another race ran on the Sunday, again due to the issues the night before. Not wanting to let the fans down, the Coventry Promotion added the previous nights Final and GN to the Sunday meeting, which gave the crowd a Super Stox-fest afternoon. Wainman Jnr winning the Final, opted to take the Lap Handicap, and it paid dividends with 4th place finish by the time the Chequered flag was shown. Another top race from the Big League. Andy Smith and Frankie Wainman Jnr fought hard all meeting long. This short clip see’s Smith take Wainman to the armaco, causing some damage to Wainman’s car, and Smith slip back somewhat after the incident….

Brisca F1 Stock Cars Final Coventry 1-8-09. On a night when the lower grades really stood out, young charger Joe Booth takes the Final win, with Coventry favourites Mark Gilbank and Andy Smith taking the runner up placings. White tops Dave Muckian and impressing again, Ike Parkinson rounding out the top5. After what was a fairly tame Semi, this race more than made up for it… And so did the GN…

2Ltr Saloon Stock Car World World Championship 2009. Defending World Champion Shane Brown using a borrowed car, almost manages to retain the title after lauching a last bend attack on leader, and new World Champion, Carl Waterfield….

Northampton 8-8-09 Final. 429 Gareth Wildman crosses the line to take the win, but unfortunately failed post-race scrutineering, which handed second over the line Frankie Wainman Jnr the win. Still, not a bad debut for Gareth, who i’m sure will be encouraged by this performance….

Skegness 12-7-09 Ht2. Danny Wainman takes his first win in his new Tar Car after debuting it the night before. An unlucky Tom Harris picked up a puncture, allowing Young Wainman through to take the win, but thats Stock Car Racing, and not taking anything away from Danny… In true Wainman style, the rear tyres are lit up as he takes the flag….

Brisca F1 Stock Car World Championship 2009. Frankie Wainman Jnr leads the pack from Pole Position, with defending World Champion Andy Smith starting alongside. After briefly keeping Smith high and wide, Wainman Jnr gets abit out of shape, giving Smith a chance to break free. Wainman Jnr then starts to loose ground and slips down the order. Stu Smith Jnr came through into second, and looked like he was going to take the challenge to elder brother Andy. However, Smith Jnr’s charge was brought ……

Kings Lynn 19-9-09 Consolation Semi Final. With only 2 places up for grabs, it was to be a frantic race to qualify for the World Final a few hours later. Dave Willis, surviving a couple of Yellow flag stoppages, looked to have his World Final slot firmly booked, only to suffer the nightmare of a rear puncture in the closing stages. Crowd favourite John Lund, to the delight of the crowd, which chear in approval, takes up the running with Simon Panton staying in touch. Steve Cayzer was lucky ……
