Brazil is far more than just having a wonderful party and lovely scenery. It's also home to the Brazil Grand Prix. The Grand Prix is part of the Formula 1 championship series. The race is located at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo. There was a Grand Prix race run there in 1972, but it wasn't until 1973 that it was an officially sanctioned F1 event. The Grand Prix has been featured in Sao Paulo for most of those years, but it was in Rio de Janerio in 1979 after which 1981-1989. In 1990 it came back to Sao Paulo and has been there since that time.
With only a handful of races remaining before the Chase to the Sprint Cup, NASCAR drivers and teams are gearing up for an all out dog fight for the final 12 spots available in the chase. The Chase to the Sprint Cup is the final stage in the 36 week racing year. The last 10 races in the year are considered The Chase Races.
